Spartanburg’s Community Gathering Space

Located just steps off Mary Black Foundation Rail Trail, Fretwell is Spartanburg’s most vibrant gathering spot. The outdoor space is designed to offer a relaxed and welcoming atmosphere for a variety of community and cultural events for all ages. We host live music events, open mic nights, a local farmers market, yoga on the lawn and private events.

Fretwell offers options for food, drinks and fun. We're open: Monday – Tuesday, 7:00 am-7:00 pm. Wednesday – Saturday, 7:00 am-9:00 pm.

Fretwell hosts a variety of events, and we’re always open to new collaborations.

Some of our recurring events include:

  • Yoga on the Lawn: Every Monday, 9-10AM
  • Open Mic Night: Every last Thursday of the month, 6-8PM
  • Off the Clock Friday: Every Friday, 6-9PM
  • Fretwell Market: Every third Saturday of the month, 10AM-2PM (June-October)
