Little River Roasting and Fretwell Spartanburg are proud to present an evening with Jack and Kaz! We welcome you to join us on November 9th for this once in a lifetime opportunity. Doors are open all day.

• 12PM: Bald Guy BBQ will start serving delicious barbecue from The Spartan, on the Fretwell lawn
• 4PM: The Smokey Beans will play a 90-minute set to warm you up for the main event
• 6PM: Kaz Inaba, supported by Jack Hinshelwood, will start their show

Although separated by almost 7,000 miles, Kazuhiro Inaba of Nishinomiya City, Japan and Jack Hinshelwood of Abingdon, Virginia, have maintained a close friendship through music for over 40 years.

Hailing from the Kansai area of Japan, Kazuhiro ‘Kaz’ Inaba was born in Osaka in 1960, and started playing the 5-string banjo when he was fifteen years old.

For over 50 years, singer, songwriter, and award-winning multi-instrumentalist Jack Hinshelwood has entertained audiences with a broad swath of traditional and Americana music on guitar, fiddle, harmonica, and vocals.

They first met in the 1980’s when Kaz made a trip to the US to learn more about Appalachian music and history. For over 4 decades, they have maintained a collaborative friendship and we are very pleased to offer them a venue for sharing their talents.
