Richard and the Twins is comprised of Chad Phillips, Chris Austin, and Richard Hurteau. Chad Phillips and Chris Austin met at Leaphart Elementary where they are both teachers. Richard Hurteau was in his senior year at UofSC when he met Chris Austin, the two began playing together each on guitar. Eventually, Chad was brought in on bass and Chris moved to drums. The Twins sound is a mesh of folk-grunge. Richard, an avid folk disciple, typically writes songs that flow with a finger style acoustic. An Album released December 9, 2020 showcases this side, but the more previously released "Street Racing" shows the grit behind The Twins. With a mixture of; Neil Young, Freddie King, and Townes Van Zandt the Twins hope to gain some followers
